Every Guardian Turtle is an original work of art — handcrafted and hand-painted by Luis, an artisan and designer born in Puerto Vallarta who approaches each piece as a meditative ritual.

Inspired by the sea turtle's deep significance in Mexican culture — a symbol of fortune, longevity, and wisdom — Luis works with patience and presence. From the initial casting to the final brushstroke, every step is done entirely by hand. No two turtles are identical. Each carries its own spirit.

The turtle also carries a gentle connection to Wixárika, or Huichol, tradition, where water, rain, fertility, and sacred landscapes are deeply intertwined. In this worldview, the Pacific is part of a larger spiritual geography connected to origin and renewal, and the turtle is often associated with water, protection, and the replenishing of life. The Guardian Turtle honors that spirit quietly: a small coastal piece shaped by hand, inspired by the ocean, patience, and life’s quiet strength.
